JUI and Nawab Raisani made joint efforts to protect the Reko Diq gold and copper project

Former Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani formally joined the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) in the presence of Maulana Fazl Rehman on Wednesday.

Other central leaders of the religious party and a large number of supporters of Nawab Raisani were also present on the occasion.

“From today, I am part of the JUI-F,” Nawab Raisani announced at the gathering. JUI leaders and supporters welcomed the former CM in their fold.

“After a lot of attempts, finally, we succeeded in getting Nawab Raisani on board,” Maulana Fazl, who is also the Chief of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), said.

He stressed that the party was committed to protecting the rights of the people of Balochistan, adding that JUI and Nawab Raisani made joint efforts to protect the Reko Diq gold and copper project.

Addressing the gathering, Nawab Raisani said he had cordial relations with the party when he was the chief minister of Balochistan in 2008.

“We worked together to protect the rights of the people of Balochistan and this partnership will continue in the future,” the former CM of Balochistan observed.

He said he would intensify his struggle for the rights of the people of Balochistan through the platform of the religious party.

Former home minister, Mir Zafarullah Zehri, and former provincial ministers Amanullah Notezai and Haji Ghulam Dastagir Badini have also joined the JUI and the formal announcement in this regard would be made soon.
