PM Gilani meets Maulana Fazlur Rehman

Maulana Fazlur Rehman urged the government to fulfil the promises it made to his party, during his meeting with the PM.

ISLAMABAD: JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman urged the government to fulfil the promises it made to his party, during his meeting with Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday.

The Prime Minister, in turn, assured him that all his reservations will be addressed. The two leaders held the meeting in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed disappointment over Islamic legislation and lack of change in foreign policy.

After the meeting, the two leaders spoke to the media, where Gilani said allies must meet regularly to strengthen coordination between them, while Maulana Fazlur Rehman said he brought forth a number of issues with the prime minister.

Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira were also present.

In addition, PPP Leaders Naveed Qamar, Syed Khurshid Shah and Nazar Muhammad Gondal were in attendance.
