Couple, driver die in car-coaster collision

The deceased were on way to Vehari from Multan

VEHARI:

A couple and their driver died when their car collided head-on with a coaster near Adda 86 WB on the Multan-Vehari Road.

Jang Sher, his wife, Rukhsana, and their car driver, Khudadad, died on the spot.

The deceased were residents of Tando Jam.

The couple had been on their way to Vehari from Multan.

Ten of the passengers travelling in the coaster sustained injuries. The condition of the six of the injured people was stated to be critical.

Locals and Rescue 1122 took the bodies and the injured to the DHQ Hospital Vehari.

According to the eyewitnesses, the accident occurred due to what they alleged “high speed” and bad condition of the Vehari-Multan Road.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the District Police Officer of Vehari, Mohammad Zafar Buzdar, and DSP (Patrolling) Sardar Zafar Iqbal Dogar reached the spot and expressed their regret over the loss of precious lives.

Meanwhile, Member of the National Assembly Tahir Iqbal reached the DHQ Hospital and issued instructions to the hospital administration to provide immediate and all possible assistance to the injured.
