A high-speed coach collided with a vegetable truck parked at the Khanpur Khori Nara stop, killing one man identified as Raja Bashir while leaving three others seriously injured.
The injured were immediately shifted to the Haripur Trauma Centre for emergency medical treatment. The police have registered a case and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, three swindlers deprived a school watchman of Rs37,000 inside a bank located in Khalabhat township.
Reham Nawaz, the watchman of Government High School Sector 2, had come to collect his and the school teachers’ salaries amounting to Rs250,000 from the Khalabat Branch of the National Bank of Pakistan at Pakharal Chowk, where the three fraudsters deprived the class-four employee of the education department of Rs37,000 on the pretext of counting his money.
Police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim and started searching for the unknown suspects.
