The construction work on phase one of Kotli Sattian main highway connecting the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad with the tourism highway has been started with the cost of about Rs1.25 billion, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Sadaqat Ali Abbasi.
“Another milestone to make Kohsar Region a tourist spot from the PTI has been achieved,” he added.
The first event in this regard was held in Charah Chowk Islamabad which was attended by MNAs Sadaqat Ali Abbasi, Raja Khurram Nawaz and MPA Major (retd) Latasab Satti and other party leaders along with people from all walks of life.
The second event was held at the tourist spot of Neela Sindh in Kotli Sattian, where MNA Abbasi and MPA Latasub were the special guests. The MNAs and other party leaders assured the people on this occasion that soon the construction work on the second phase of the road will also be started.
In the next few days, another tourism highway link mega project from Charah Chowk to Ban via Karur Ariyari will also be started. In the current financial year, six major roads are being constructed in circle NA-57 linking the tourism highway at a total cost of more than Rs8 billion.
