Two killed, one injured over old enmity

Two persons were killed while one was critically injured when two rival groups attacked each other over an old enmity in the Khurrum Gujjar area within the limits of Taxila Police station on Friday.

According to police sources, there was an ongoing dispute between the two families living in the village located in the foothills of Margalla hills. On Friday, both parties attacked each other with different weapons, as a result, 50 years old identified as Nazakat and 21 years old Basit were killed on the spot while Atif Nazeer was critically injured.

Later, the dead and injured were shifted to THQ hospital from where the injured named Atif was shifted to Rawalpindi due to his critical condition. Later the bodies of the victims were handed over to the heirs for burial after autopsy. Police registered a case and launched further investigation.

On the same day, Rawalpindi Police arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) wanted in a murder case registered in Wah Cantt police station. According to a police spokesman, police managed to arrest a PO named as Inamullah, who allegedly killed a citizen named Tahir over a petty dispute in 2020.

Wah Cantt police on the application of the victim's brother registered a case and started an investigation.
