Epic Games has launched the RealityScan app on iOS for free. The app allows users to scan real-life objects and turn them into 3D models.

The new app will allow creators to work on any 3D setting of a real-world picture without having to create it from scratch.

The new app requires the user to scan any object from multiple angles. As you scan the object and take its photograph, the RealityScan app shows the augmented reality version of the object. It also guides the user to get the best pictures for the 3D model. The models from the app are then exported to Sketchfab which is a platform for sharing 3D models.
