LAHORE:

Provincial Parliamentary Affairs Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja has said that the government is trying to fulfill the demands of the employees of the Punjab Health Facilities Management Company (PHFMC).

Presiding over the first meeting of a cabinet committee formed to review the future of the company, he proposed to retain it with a broader scope.

He said technical complications in the way of regularisation of the company's 9,616 employees in 14 districts would be removed. Representatives of the PHFMC Association offered not to claim their dues from the past in case of regularisation. The provincial law secretary also briefed the committee. The minister said the rights of the PHFMC employees had been neglected in the past.
