Man ‘kills’ wife, three daughters with knife in Karachi’s Malir

Sindh CM has sought report from the Karachi police chief and directs probe of the gruesome killing at the earliest

In a heart-wrenching incident, a man on Tuesday attempted to commit suicide after allegedly killing his wife and three daughters with knife in Karachi’s Malir area.

According to Express News, the gruesome incident took place in a house located in Shamsi Society area of the metropolis.

The motive behind the murder is yet to be identified.

As soon as the information was received, the police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies and injured to the Jinnah Hospital.

The bodies of the victims were found with silt throats while the killing took place on the first floor of the house, according to media reports.

The tenants living on the ground floor of the house said they heard screams and cries before the murder.

The deceased are identified as Huma and her three daughters – Fatima, Nimra and Neha.

The police have also recovered a knife from the crime scene and forensic teams have reached the spot to collect evidence.

Taking notice of the incident, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has sought report from the Karachi police chief and directed that an investigation into the killing be conducted at the earliest.
