Govt to take action on substandard dams, roads
Balochistan government spokesperson Farah Azeem Shah on Friday said that strict action would be taken against those involved in the construction of substandard dams and roads that were destroyed in the recent floods.
She said that 200 employees would be recruited for the Balochistan Assembly and MPAs Hostel.
“All-out efforts would be made to ensure merit in recruitment,” the spokesperson told a news conference at Quetta Press Club.
She briefed the journalist about the decisions made by the provincial cabinet in its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo.
She maintained that action would be taken against the elements involved in the construction of substandard dams and roads across Balochistan.
The Chief Minister Inspection Team (CMIT) has submitted its report to the government.
CM Bizenjo has directed the provincial department to take action against the elements involved in corruption and encroachments across the province.
It is worth mentioning here that recent flash floods washed away dams, roads and bridges throughout the province, inviting widespread criticism as dams constructed during British Raj are still standing.
