Schools of Rawalpindi, Kotli Satian, Murree, Gujar Khan, Kahoota, Kallar Syedan, Taxila are included in second shift

RAWALPINDI:

A total of 800 schools in 14 districts of Punjab, including Rawalpindi and Chakwal districts, have received the approval to begin second shift classes on their campus.

Moreover, all of these schools have been handed over to the ‘Afternoon schools program’. With the addition of these 800 schools, the total number of second-shift schools in Punjab has increased to 6,000. In these second-shift primary schools, middle classes will be held in the second shift, high classes in the second shift in middle schools, while students of primary and middle classes will also be able to enroll.

In all these schools, teachers of the morning shift will be able to teach voluntarily in the second shift, for which they will be given additional remuneration over the regular salary. A formal notification has also been issued in this regard. According to the notification, there will be a second shift in 43 schools in the Rawalpindi district and 23 schools in the Chakwal district.

The schools of Rawalpindi, Kotli Satian, Murree, Gujar Khan, Kahoota, Kallar Syedan, and Taxila are included in the second shift.
