Farhan Saeed’s good luck message for the Pakistan cricket team before the finals backfired when his choice of words offended his fans across the border with many regretting watching his dramas and listening to his songs. However, the Sajni singer clarified that his tweet was not intended for Indian fans but for every nation that ends up bashing their players.
Saeed took to his Twitter to confront all his Indian fans and wrote, “All the Indian fans who think I said something to you, well it’s really sad! I said it about every nation who starts bashing their players right after defeat. If the first thing came to your mind was you, it is worrisome! Peace.”

Peace ✌️#T20WorldCupFinal
This note came after he posted a message in support of the men in green prior to the T20 World Cup final on Sunday. “I’m praying for Pakistan and supporting them with this belief that they’ll bring it home inshAllah,” read his tweet. “But if God forbid they don’t win, we love them no matter what! We will not act like a stupid nation and start bashing. Fight hard boys, all the luck! Pakistan Zindabad!”

The term “stupid nation” bothered fans across the border as they thought it was a direct attack on them.
“Mr Farhan Saeed, we have seen how your people behave when your team loses. Sadly you lost your respect here now. It's a lesson for me that I don't admire anyone for his professional behaviour only. Their personality matters most,” wrote a user.

“First time kinda glad that you guys are banned here. You and your negativity can stay in your own 'not stupid' country,” wrote another.

One user, however, defended the Thori Der singer. “I don’t think he said anything to India here, if that were the vibe, I’d instantly get it. Match mei aisi baatein hoty rehti hai, Irfan Pathan directly used the graceless word for our neighbours, if you all are forgetting. This wasn’t for India for sure."
