Cabinet approves ECL restructuring

The federal cabinet has approved reconstitution of the Exit Control List (ECL) committee.
According to sources, Federal Minister Ayaz Sadiq has been appointed as the convener of the committee.
The cabinet approved the reconstitution of the committee, which was obtained through circulation.
Federal Commerce Minister Naveed Qamar is a member of the ECL Committee, while Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Communications Minister Asad Mehmood are among the members as well.
The Supreme Court had directed the government to bring the recent changes in the rules of the ECL within the "ambit of the law".
