Islamabad Police Deputy Inspector General Safe City Rommel Akram has said that vigilance for the business community will be improved further by connecting the cameras installed in commercial areas and markets with the Safe City project to improve security in the capital. Talking to the business community during a visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Akram stressed that the installation of more cameras would increase the coverage of key locations and help improve law and order. “The Safe City project regulates different domains of security with the installation of security cameras at designated locations to ensure 24/7 surveillance of the city,” he said.
