Postmortem shows 14-year-old victim had been sexually abused before death

A 14-year-old boy was mysteriously killed in suburban village Dadu. The victim’s family claimed it was a suicide, but police completed legal proceedings. A report from Forensic Lab Lahore stated that the victim had been raped before his death.

On the order of the DPO, the police registered a murder case against unknown accused in Chandni Chowk police station and started an investigation. The police formed teams to arrest the accused.

Kamal Hussain, a resident of village Ghulaman, lodged a complaint before Chandni Chowk police station that his 14-year-old son went to his brother, Lal Hussain's, house with his sister-in-law and spent the night.

The victim insisted that he would return home. He did and was sleeping alone in the house at night. The next day at 8am, the complainant’s sister-in-law came home and found the victim lying on the floor covered in blood inside the room.

The complainant and Lal Hussain reached the house and saw the dead body lying on the floor in the room with a 12-bore single barrel gun lying on the floor outside. A report of this incident was filed in the police station.

District Police Officer (DPO) Capt. (retd) Muhammad Ajmal told The Express Tribune that the family treating this as a suicide, while police found this case suspicious.

District police shifted the body to district headquarters hospital for a post-mortem, from where samples were obtained and sent to the forensic laboratory in Lahore. The body was handed over to the heirs for burial.

A report from the Forensic Lab Lahore revealed that the 14-year-old victim had been molested before the murder. Police speculated that unidentified persons killed the victim for fear of revealing the crime and the suspect’s identity.

The DPO further stated that the investigation process was initiated and teams were formed under the supervision of specialist police officers to trace the murderer.
