News of actor Iqra Aziz’s withdrawal from an upcoming project with Feroze has been making the rounds on social media, with many praising the celebrity for setting a new precedent.
Several are applauding the Suno Chanda actor for “leading by example” while denouncing accused actor Feroze for the purported mistreatment of his ex-wife. Osman Khalid Butt, Usama Khilji, and her elder sister Sidra were amongst the first to acknowledge Iqra’s step as a brave one.
Butt has always made headlines due to his partake in online discussions. After having expressed solidarity with Aliza in an Insta post, the Baaghi actor tweeted, "More power to you, Iqra! Leading by example."

More people joined in to show their support, such as Sidra, Iqras's sister. Taking to social media, the Suno Chanda star's sibling "set the record straight" by penning Iqra's perspective online. She informed the public that Iqra did not wait to make her announcement, and backed Aliza from the start. "Just to set the record straight. Iqra did not wait till the proof had come out. As soon as Aliza spoke about the domestic abuse, Iqra excused herself from the project."
Sidra also pointed out that this decision was a huge sacrifice for the star as she dismissed a project that could have revived her acting career. "She had been waiting for a year to make her comeback," she added.

Making a separate post, Sidra updated fans about the Qurban actor's well-being, "Was on call with sister, she was a bit overwhelmed but had been thinking to do the right thing no matter what. Told her everyone loves her. Respect and love are something God gives us."

Usama Khiliji also praised her "excellent decision" and proceeded to call her a "role model." The news also fared well with other Twitter users as one posted about how Iqra has "won our hearts once again."

Another highlighted that the star did not just stand up to Feroze but also the production house she signed the project with. She wrote, "Really proud of Iqra Aziz. It's not easy, standing up to a production house. Especially since Feroze is one of their favourites."

While adding a hashtag to boycott the Tich Button star, a user congratulated Iqra for "backing off from a project she had earlier signed" and urged other actors to "follow suit."

The Khamoshi actor's husband, Yasir Hussain also stands in solidarity with Aliza, while more join in to oppose Feroze's further involvement in the entertainment industry.
