Rs350 million released for uplift projects

Three Tehsils to benefit from 45 development projects

RAWALPINDI:

Funds worth Rs350 million have been released for forty-five development projects of three Tehsils of the Rawalpindi Division, sources said.

The funds have been released to improve civic facilities in Kahuta, Kotli Sattian and Murree tehsils.

These schemes include the construction of 15 major roads in Kahutta and Kotli Sattian.

The projects also include improvement of water supply in the areas besides the construction of canals, streets, boundary walls of cemeteries and a ground for funeral prayers.

The sources also said the district government has issued tenders for all these schemes while work orders will be issued by next month.

All the development projects have been stipulated to be completed during the next 30 days to 90 days while their cost may vary from Rs250,000 to Rs25 million.

The sources said these schemes were recommended by the members of the provincial assembly for their respective constituencies.

Lawmaker from Murree Sadaqat Abbasi said funds for all the schemes have been released.
