Disney's upcoming ad-supported plan will leave out essential features otherwise available to other subscribers, including a tool to let you remotely watch a movie or show with friends and family.
The code was spotted by MacRumors, suggesting that the upcoming $7.99 tier will miss out on this feature for subscribers. The ambiguous code discovered said that "Groupwatch and Share play unavailable for accounts on the ads tier.".
The Verge believes that the code doesn't confirm things for Disney's ad-supported tier, and it might draw or change its decisions later. The company hasn't responded or commented on the code.
Netflix recently introduced its ad-supported plan for a much lower price than Disney Plus, removing features like downloadable content, HD or 1080p streaming, and limited content. Users have yet to find out what Disney's plan will include.
