Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali took strict notice of the incident of rape of a 10-year-old flood-affected girl and directed the police officials to arrest the accused immediately.
The CM directed the police to take the girl and other family members into protective custody.
He told Additional IG Karachi Javed Odhu on the telephone that such incidents are unacceptable and cannot be forgiven, therefore, the accused persons need to be behind bars at any cost.
Additional IG Karachi informed the chief minister that as soon as the matter came to the knowledge of SSP South, he ordered registration of an FIR at Boat Basin police station and started the investigation into the matter.
Shah was informed that Additional IG Karachi has formed a police team to arrest the accused and bring them to justice.
The CM directed the Additional IG Karachi to check the CCTV footage of the area to identify the accused vehicle and arrest them immediately after identification.
Meanwhile, the CM directed Women Development Minister Shehla Raza to keep the entire family under protective custody, after which the family has been kept in the women's police station.
