The foundation stone of the new dialysis centre at the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology, Murree Road will be laid on Friday [tomorrow].
Former federal interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed will be the chief guest of the foundation laying ceremony.
Source said that this new dialysis centre will have 200 state-of-the-art dialysis machines and the building in the centre will have three floors.
An amount of Rs200 million has been released for the construction of the building, they added
The construction of the dialysis centre will be completed in 120 days. Forty dialysis machines will be installed on the ground floor.
This health facility will be able to have 400 free-of-cost dialysis procedures per day.
No dialysis fee will be charged to any patient. Medicines will also be completely free.
Earlier, it was reported that the government had allocated funds for the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology and other mega projects.
