Police register case against 4-year-old for 'attacking couple'

Young child's lawyer maintains police registered case "blindly"

ISLAMABAD:

Rawalpindi police on Wednesday registered a case against a four-year-old in the city’s Naseerabad police station for allegedly “attacking a couple with bricks and stones”.

The case against the young child, Ahmed, was registered under the provisions of 337/A3 and was filed by a citizen named Ghulam Mustafa.

According to the first information report (FIR), Ahmed attacked the couple with bricks and stones.

The four-year-old was produced in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Sohail Anjum for bail.

According to Ahmed’s lawyer, Naseerabad police station registered the “case blindly”.

“The sentence imposed on 4-year-old Ahmed is 10 years imprisonment. Action should be taken against Rawalpindi SHO Naseerabad police station and the investigating officer” for registering the case, stated the lawyer.
