Another PIA crew member slips away in Toronto
A PIA flight steward has allegedly slipped away in Canada after the airline's flight from Islamabad reached Toronto.
According to PIA sources, Ejaz Ali Shah had reached Canada from Islamabad by PIA flight PK-781 and was supposed to return to Islamabad on October 16 by flight PK-782, but he secretly disappeared from Toronto airport.
The PIA administration informed the Canadian Border Security Force and initiated disciplinary action against the crew member for not arriving on duty.
According to the spokesperson of the national airline, seven employees, including three female air hostesses, who escaped after reaching Canada during two years, had been dismissed from their jobs and action would be taken against them after the investigation was completed.

The spokesperson said declarations were taken from all air staff on duty on Toronto-bound flights. Air hostesses must submit their passports to the station manager on arrival in Toronto.
The spokesperson said, “An investigation is also being conducted against Flight Steward Ejaz Ali Shah. After the investigation is completed and the charge of violation of rules and regulations is proved, he will be dismissed from his job during departmental action.”
Flight Steward Ijaz Ali Shah is also the leader of People's Unity CBA Union.
