PPP Core Committee meeting: Zardari extends full support to Sindh Govt

Party takes import­ant decisi­ons to assist Sindh govern­ment in combat­ing violen­ce and lawles­sness.

ISLAMABAD: The Core Committee of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Tuesday extended full support of the party and the Federal Government to Sindh government in restoring law and order in Karachi.

A meeting of the Core Committee of the PPP was held at the Presidency, presided over by its Co- Chairman and President Asif Ali Zardari and attended by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and other members of the core committee, including ministers, assembly members and top party leadership.

Speaking to the media, spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar said that the meeting appreciated the decision taken by Sindh government to take stern across-the-board action against all extortionists and criminal elements in different parts of Karachi, regardless of party affiliations.

The spokesperson said that the meeting also appealed to all political parties and general public to support the provincial government in maintaining law and order in Karachi and restoring normalcy to the city.

During the meeting, the President also called Chief Minister Sindh assuring him full support of the party and the government in dealing with an iron hand with the criminal elements.

Mr. Babar said that the Chief Minister informed the President that it had been decided to set up an operation room in Karachi to keep an eye on incidents of lawlessness in the city, monitor the action taken against the criminals and provide succor and relief to the victims of lawlessness.

The President also spoke with ANP President Asfandyar Wali on the issue of peace in Karachi.

The meeting decided that senior PPP leaders belonging to Sindh and the Federal Government will be available on hand to assist the Sindh government in maintaining peace in Karachi in any manner, deemed appropriate and necessary.

The meeting also decided to assist the provincial government in strengthening the Prosecution Branch to ensure that challans are immediately submitted to the courts against all those apprehended in the drive against criminal elements, the spokesperson said.

Committee members attending the meeting included Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari, Leader of the House in Senate, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Minister for Commerce, Chaudhary Ahmad Mukhtar, Minister for Defence, Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, Minister for Religious Affairs, Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Water and Power, Senator Dr. Babar Awan, Senator Jahangir Badar, Nazar Mohammed Gondal, Raja Pervaz Ashraf, Ms. Rukhsana Bangash, Ms. Fauzia Habib, Senator Faisal Raza Abidi, Senator Sardar Ali Khan, Ms Mehreen Anwar Raja and Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar.

Well well well after all the dramas the conclusion is that the Army isnt going to come we all know why as the Army has been Bought by PPP.

so we Citizens have to solve this problem this mess Ourselves
