Business leaders call for promoting heavy bike sports

The establishment of a heavy bike centre will not only promote sports and recreational activities but it will also create employment opportunities for the local people in the garrison city, said renowned business leader Umar Ashraf.

He expressed these views on Friday while inaugurating a heavy bike centre at Circular Road in Rawalpindi where other business leaders were also present.

The event was attended by business leaders including Shahid Ghafoor Paracha, Superintendent of Police Amir Khalil, Haji Muhammad Ashraf, Qari Khalid, Colonel (retd) Kamran, Dr Adil, and Professor Raza Naqvi along with other people from various walks of life.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Ashraf said that a new industry of heavy bike motorcycles was emerging and was positively impacting the national economy.

Meanwhile, Paracha said that for the first time in the garrison city, a centre has been set up for heavy bike riders which will promote sports activities on a large scale.

The centre will capture the attention of all major motorcycle companies of the world, he said.
