Abducted teenage girl safely recovered

SSP Investigation Captain (retd) Muhammad Ajmal said the police recovered a teenager girl within 10 hours after her abduction.

Addressing a press conference at Police Lines Complex on Friday, he stated that Liaquat Ali, a resident of Saeed Colony Madina Town, filed a complaint with People's Colony police, alleging that his 17-year-old daughter Manahil was abducted when she went to college on October 13th. The abductors demanded Rs200 million as ransom for her release.

Police, after registering an FIR started an investigation and traced whereabouts of the accused to Narang Mandi in district Sheikhupura. A police team, under the supervision of SP Madina Town Muhammad Nabeel, raided a house in Narang Mandi and successfully recovered the abducted girl within 10 hours of her abduction.

The police also arrested an accused at the scene, identified as Abrar, who revealed that he had developed a friendship with Manahil through Facebook.

He further revealed that he formed a plan to abduct the girl in collaboration with his friends, Tayyab and Umair.

Abrar confessed to kidnapping the girl in a car from Punjab College for Women, before he took her to a rented house in Narang Mandi.
