PRA’s receipts go up 31%

During September, the PRA collected Rs14,248 million, which was 18% higher than last year

The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) collected 31% higher revenue during the first quarter of financial year 2022-23 by collecting Rs42,899 million, as compared to Rs32,706 million during the corresponding period of previous year.

“The current financial year augurs well for the authority when it recorded 31.10%, 41.22% and 17.63% increase in revenue for July, August and September respectively,” said an official.

During September, the PRA collected Rs14,248 million, which was 18% higher than last year. According to a spokesperson of the PRA, the persistent growth in revenue collection reflects the success of Punjab government’s policy of facilitation and collaboration with the stakeholders.

“The consistent increase in PRA’s revenue is helping to achieve the budgetary target of Rs190,000 million assigned by the Punjab government.”
