Sati Sahib Festival to conclude today

The festival is renowned for the sale and purchase of camels, as well as dances and performances

BHAKKAR:

A two-day festival commemorating Sati Sahib, a well-known Sufi personality of Thal, started on Tuesday.

People from distant regions travelled to the area to participate in the festival, which is renowned for the sale and purchase of camels, as well as dances and performances.

Camels are bought and sold on a large scale during the fair, for which enthusiasts visit from all corners of the country.

Aside from camel trading, participants could enjoy traditional sports such as wrestling, kabaddi, volleyball and competitions, which were are organized for visitors’ entertainment.

During this festival, the bazaar is brightly decorated, where food and decorative items for camels and other animals are widely available.

The Sati Sahib festival is unique for the display and sale of high breed camels.

Today (Wednesday) will be the last day of the festival and is expected to continue with full color and splendor.

A large number of people from Thal participated this year, along with their children.
