Eid-e-Miladun Nabi today: Celebration begins with 21-gun salute, prayers

Special arrangements made for security of processions

Like all over the country, the Eid-e-Miladun Nabi (peace be upon him) will be celebrated with great devotion and religious fervour throughout Sindh, including Karachi on Sunday (today).

Preparations have been finalised to take out large and small processions from more than 40 areas of Karachi, which will later join the main procession.

Apart from imposing ban on pillion riding, special arrangements have been finalised for the security of processions.

The celebration will begin with the offering of greetings and collective prayers. The festival of Naat, Milad Sharif, Qasida Burda Sharif, Khatm-e-Darood-e-Pak will be held on the occasion of the birth of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) in the morning.

In the provincial capital, Karachi, the day will start with a 21-gun salute and special prayers for the stability and security of the country and the nation.

The main gathering of Mahfil-e-Subh-e-Baharan was held on Saturday night at Memon Masjid, Muslehuddin Garden, Jodia Bazar.

The main procession of 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal on Sunday, under the leadership of Ameer Allama Syed Shah Abdul Haq Qadri and Ulemas and Mashaikhs of Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Pakistan Karachi, will leave from New Memon Masjid, Boulton Market and reach Nishtar Park passing through 

MA Jinnah Road, where scholars and Sunni leaders will address the grand Milad-e-Mustafa conference.

Masajid, houses, streets, build- ings and markets have been decorated with flags and lights.

With the beginning of the month of Rabiul Awwal, many areas of Karachi have been lit up with electric lanterns.

The main procession will be carried out by 1,000 volunteers and scouts of Jamaat Ahle Sunnat Karachi.

Ulema have appealed that all the participants of the main procession should fully cooperate with the administration and volunteers.

Instructions have been issued to take out the procession on time. The designated entry point on MA Jinnah Road should be used for procession while the vehicles of the procession should be parked in front of Mazar-e-Quaid.

Commissioner Karachi, Station Commander Rangers, DIGs, deputy commissioners and other government officers along with the leaders of various religious organisations visited the place of main gathering at Nishtar Park, and reviewed the arrangements.

Hyderabad

More than 3,000 policemen have been deployed for security of the rallies and other events which will be organised in Hyderabad on 12th Rabiul Awal to celebrate Eid-e-Miladun Nabi (PBUH).

According to details, hundreds of rallies including the major rallies organised by religious parties will be taken out on the day.

Moreover, some 2,000 policemen will move along with the rallies while 1,000 will be deployed at important roads, intersections and mosques.

Larkana

The preparations to celebrate Eid-e-Milladun Nabi (PBUH) in Larkana have been finalised. The members of Milad committees, traders, citizens and students were seen busy in decorating streets, markets and buildings with green flags, buntings and other articles in almost all areas of Larkana district. Similarly, almost all main buildings of the city are being illuminated.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Larkana Tarique Manzoor Chandio presided over a meeting to finalise the security arrangements. The meeting reviewed and discussed for maintenance of peace and tranquility during the processions. The DC urged the representatives of law enforcing agencies that all out efforts should be made to ensure the peace and order in the district. He also directed SEPCO to ensure the supply of electricity.
