Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Friday said that the damage to the roads and infrastructure of the city due to the rains was estimated to be Rs14 billion.

These views were expressed by Administrator Karachi while talking to the media representatives after unveiling the plaque for the reconstruction of Mumtaz Hasan Road and Hasrat Mohani Road.

Separately, Wahab said search is on for the killers of three firemen of the KMC Fire Brigade. Amir Qureshi, Mehboob Khan and Irshad, were shot dead by unidentified assailants at the Korangi Fire Station. "We will employ one family member of each of the three firemen," he said at a ceremony held to honour the deceased firemen.
