Two soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom when their convoy came under attack by terrorists in Hassan Khel area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province’s North Waziristan district, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “Own troops initiated a prompt response, effectively engaged and killed three terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists.”

The terrorists remained actively involved in terror activities against security forces, the ISPR added.

During the intense exchange of fire, according to the military, Lance Naik Muhammad Pannah of Pakistan Army (age 30 years, resident of Jaffarabad district) and Sepoy Shamas Ullah of Frontier Constabulary (age 36 years, resident of South Waziristan District), having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat.

Sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
