Mock exercise held at women’s university

Police teams were able to practice their skills in a realistic environment

PESHAWAR:

Police held a mock exercise in Benazir Women University in Peshawar in the presence of university students on Thursday.

During the exercise the police team demonstrated the thwarting a terrorist attack at the university and shifted the students to a safe place while effectively dealing with the attackers.

Talking on the occasion SP Rural Peshawar Saleem Kulachi said that they were conducting the security audit of all important buildings in the area and the main purpose of the mock exercise was to allow police teams to practice their skills in a realistic environment.

He said that it would enable police to response quickly to any misadventure in the event of an emergency.
