QUETTA:

In a surprising move, the Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo on Thursday called on the former Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani at his residence and discussed the current political situation in the province and affairs related to Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).

Former provincial ministers Mir Arif Jan Muhammad Hasni, Mir Saleem Ahmad Khoso, and former provincial minister Prince Ali Ahmadzai were also present at the meeting.

The meeting discussed the current political turmoil in the province as JUI-F has announced to be part of the CM Bizenjo-led coalition government in Balochistan.

CM Bizenjo and Maulana Wasey, the federal minister for housing and provincial Amir of JUI-F have held three meetings in this regard.

However, no break through has been made as deadlock persists between the ruling BAP and JUI-F about the distribution of portfolios.

The ongoing talks with JUI-F were more jeopardized after a statement from the spokesman of BAP Sardar Abdul Rehman Kethran in which he said that ‘portfolios will not be snatched from the existing ministers’.

The two leaders discussed development projects and the Quetta Development Package in the meeting.
