Karan Arjun 2.0: Fans can't get over similarities between Babar, Virat's childhood pictures

The plaid shirt? Check. The pursed smile? Check. The bowl cut? Check!

Pakistani skipper Babar Azam and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli are known for their batting prowess and impeccable leadership skills among cricket fans and critics. The two have often gone head to head on scorecards during nail-biting India-Pakistan matches and truth be told, there's certain energy when either is on the ground.

While there have been several similarities being drawn over their batting style, the shocking resemblance has now gone beyond the pitch. Recently, childhood pictures of the two made rounds on social media and fans are surprised by the unusual resemblance.

The interesting thing about these pictures is that both the cricketers are not only wearing similar shirts but also have the same hairstyle, hence propelling everyone to label them as 'twin brothers.'

Numerous fans are sharing these pictures, making them a viral sensation on Twitter. Some of them expressed their amazement, while others commented on the details of their similarities.

One Twitter user said, "How come both Babar and Kohli are wearing the same shirts?"

While another suggested, "Babar and Kohli look like twin brothers at a festival in matching shirts and same hairstyles." Other users banter online by calling them a "Karan Arjun pair" and making fun of their "bowl haircuts."

Azam and Kohli will continue to compete in their respective matches. Previously, speaking in an interview with Star Sports, Kohli said Azam was performing "so consistently and rightly so, he has amazing talent and I've always enjoyed watching him play". Recounting his history and first meeting with Azam at the 2019 cricket world cup, Kohli said he had seen a lot of "regard and respect" from Azam from "day one". "That has not changed," he added.

"It hasn't changed because he is performing now and coming into his own. I don't see his attitude or approach changing towards me which is a very good sign of someone who is very grounded in the foundations of his upbringing and his cricketing foundations as well are very solid," the Indian cricketer had shared.
