LODHRAN:

A woman and her daughter were strangled to death in their house by unidentified suspects. The victim’s two-year-old son miraculously survived, while her husband, who had gone to work, came home as soon as he received the information.

Neighbours gathered upon hearing about the shocking incident.

The DSP reached the spot and began the necessary legal action, whilst officers of City Police Station also arrived and began analyzing the crime scene.

The husband stated that he had no enmity with anyone and he did not know who murdered his family.

Falak Sher Khokhar, a resident of Niazian Wala, had left the house to go to work. His wife Shazia and young daughter Zahra were strangled to death by an unknown suspect, while his two-year-old son Faizan survived.

When a neighbour saw the door of the house left open, she went inside, finding the bodies of the deceased Shazia and Zahra. Upon hearing the neighbour’s noise, others came and informed Falak Sher, the husband of the victim, Shazia.

News of the murder immediately spread throughout the area, with DSP Ejaz Maswan and a police contingent arriving on the spot.

An FIR was registered against unknown persons on the complaint of the victim's father, Niaz.

According to the text of the FIR, Shazia married Falak Sher twelve years ago.

They had a daughter Zahra and a two-year-old son, Faizan. When Niaz went to meet Shazia, the door was open and on one cot was two-year-old Faizan, the body of five-year-old Zahra on the other, while Shazia's body was lying on the floor. They were strangled with a dupatta. Niaz demanded that justice be done and the murderers arrested and punished severely.

A police forensic team also reached the spot and secured the crime scene, initiating an investigation. Later, the bodies of Shazia and Zahra were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for a post-mortem.
