The South district judicial magistrate on Tuesday sent the suspects for the alleged rape and murder of a young girl on judicial remand.
Police presented the arrested suspects, Zeeshan and Shahzeb, before the magistrate at Karachi City Courts on completion of their physical remand.
The court sent the accused to jail in judicial custody and ordered the investigation officer to complete the investigations and submit by October 3.
According to IO, the accused Zeeshan was an employee of the victim's relative. Samples of the accused have been taken for DNA test. A case was registered against the accused in Mahmoodabad police station.
Separately, West district Judicial Magistrate handed over a man accused of throwing acid on his ex-wife to police on physical remand.
In Karachi City Court, a case was heard in front of the court of Judicial Magistrate West regarding Farhan throwing acid on his ex-wife and injuring her.
The police produced the arrested accused Farhan in the court. The investigating officer (IO) said that the complainant recorded her statement in the Burns Ward of the Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital.
The complainant stated that she had separated from Farhan five years ago due to domestic problems.
