KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered the Director Lands, KDA, to appear in person at the next hearing on a petition related to the loss of original file of the house of a resident of Clifton.

Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi heard the petition related to the disappearance of the original file of the house. The court was annoyed with the KDA officials for not preparing the alternative file.

Justice Rizvi remarked that you people have become kings. People are helpless. You do not understand the language of politeness. There are so many complications.

The court expressed anger at the KDA officer and remarked that if you don't want to work, let us know.

The KDA officer replied that the process is going on.

Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi said, the process is going on. What is the method? The court has given its orders a year back. There is destruction all over Karachi. What about the master plan? When was the last meeting of your directors held? How many meetings did your directors hold? Why does it take so long to prepare an alternate file? The application is pending since October 29, 2021.

The petitioner's counsel stated that the file was lost from NAB, a replacement file was required. Chairman NAB was instructed to take action against the officers who lost the file.
