HYDRABAD:

Jamaat-e-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Molana Fazlur Rehman said on Wednesday the civil supremacy has become weaker in the country as the establishment has grown stronger.

“We talk about democracy but it is becoming weaker. And we talk about reducing the power of the establishment and increasing that of the civilians but the civil supremacy is weakening and the establishment is becoming stronger,” he said talking to the media in Sukkur district where he distributed relief items among the rain affected people.

He contended that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has been heaping scorn on the institutions, army, parliament, democracy and judiciary to try to establish that he is a public leader. “But the fact is that he isn’t a leader but a criminal and imported thief who will be nabbed.”
