Ambassador of Argentina Leopoldo F Sahores and High Commissioner of South Africa Madikiza visited Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (K-P BOIT) on Friday, to call on Vice Chairman, Engr Said Mahmud.

The vice chairman welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the aspects of investment and trade potential in the province.

The vice chairman also highlighted that bilateral trade cooperation and relations between Argentina, South Africa and Pakistan may further be extended. The delegation was also given a presentation by acting CEO on the sustainable projects and highlighted sector wise projects in SEZs, tourism, energy & power, mines & minerals, ITs, agriculture and other areas.

He also highlighted the huge potential for investment in K-P including infrastructure projects in public private partnership and education sector. In response the Ambassadors applauded the efforts of KP-BOIT and pledged their supports and wider cooperation in various sectors.

Ambassadors of Argentina further explained the importance of regional connectivity and people to people exchange program. Shahid Shinwari, and Muhammad Shahid Khan (members Board of KPBOIT) and representatives of KPEZDMC, SMEDA, SIDB, Vice President SCCI, Woman Entrepreneurs, Peshawar were also present on the occasion.

At the end, the vice chairman presented souvenirs and traditional turbans to the dignitaries.

Talking on the occasion vice chairman Syed Mahmood has said that K-P is rich in natural resources and raw materials.

There are plenty of investment opportunities in the province tourism and hydropower sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, the High Commissioner of South Africa thanked Syed Mehmood and his team for the warm welcome, and said that his country will take necessary steps to increase public relations with K-P government and issues related to human rights.
