Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram previously announced that his autobiography book will be launched within the next few weeks.

Taking to Twitter, the 'Sultan of Swing' revealed the news and wrote, "Finally you will know the truth and my side of the story". Now, his wife and activist Shaniera Akram has taken to her Instagram handle and posted about the same.

“This book made me fall in love with my husband all over again. There are so many parts of Wasim’s life in this book that I never even knew about,” the ex-cricketer’s ladylove captioned her post. She added, “I know it was tough for him to put this to paper and as a wife it was huge for me to read and when it comes out it’s going to be pretty explosive. But like the truth, no matter what, one way or another, it always comes out! And I'm very proud of him.”

“Sultan – A Memoir: Wasim Akram with Gideon Haigh will be out in November 2022 but you can pre order right now,” Shaniera posted while sharing the link to the website. “Global distribution dates to be shared soon.”

According to details, the book is filled with startling revelations about Justice Malik Qayyum Commission report, match-fixing and cricket personalities. It will be translated in many languages, including Urdu. Wasim included memories from both his personal and professional lives in the autobiography. He has also mentioned former Pakistani cricketer and outgoing prime minister Imran Khan, and the 1992 World Cup win. The cricketer claimed to have revealed some previously unknown significant cricket-related incidents.
