KARACHI:

Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon has strongly reacted to the “shameful act” of PTI’s Punjab government which has confiscated the wheat flour-laden trucks of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on the Sindh-Punjab boarder.

In a Twitter post, Memon said that the PDMA has purchased the wheat flour from Punjab for the flood-affected people of Sindh “but today the Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaf’s Punjab government not only confiscated those trucks at the border but also lodged an FIR.”

The PTI has repeatedly crossed all the limits. Previously, it launched a fake campaign on social media to persuade international donor agencies and the United Nations to stop humanitarian aid for the flood-hit people. “Now, they are using their government’s power in Punjab for stopping relief items,” he alleged.

Regrettably, at this time of natural calamity, the Punjab government is confiscating relief goods instead of helping the flood victims which would only add to the woes of the already devastated people.
