‘Thousands to benefit from road projects’

C&W and Public Health Engineering Department briefed the meeting participants regarding developmental projects

ABBOTTABAD:

Around 139,217 people would benefit from developmental projects launched in the various UCs of district Abbottabad, said Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner Tariq Salam Marwat.

Addressing the meeting held to review work on the projects on Tuesday, he said that these projects include 73 PCC roads, seven single roads and 30 water supply projects.

C&W and Public Health Engineering Department briefed the meeting participants regarding the ongoing developmental projects. Projects of various union councils of Abbottabad, including Banda Pir Khan, Dalula, Boi, Kukmang, Patan Kalan, Nimbal Bakot, Birut Kalan, Malkot, Palak, Ser Gharbi, Ser Sharki, Nagri Totial, Gurini, Lora and Phalah came under discussion.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Planning Abbottabad and other officers.

Anti-encroachment operation

Meanwhile, Havelian Additional Assistant Commissioner Lubna Iqbal, along with TMA Havelian TRO Kiranzeb and DSP Traffic Police Samina, carried out a grand anti-encroachment operation with the help of a heavy police contingent and heavy machinery at the main Bazar Havelian.
