Dhok Thalian resort opens to public, tourists

Tourists will be able to enjoy boating, camping and other tourist facilities

The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) has opened a resort at Dhok Thalian in Chakwal for tourists and locals.

"We are trying our best to promote tourism in the province of Punjab and have already launched various new projects," the PTDC general manager said while speaking at an event held the other day. Assistant commissioner Choa Saidan Shah was the chief guest on the occasion.

Fazal said that with the operationalization of TDCP Resort at Dhok Tahlian, a new and better tourist destination has been made available to the tourists, where tourists will be able to enjoy boating, camping and other tourist facilities. He added that the tourists will also be able to enjoy the best and clean residential facilities.

He said that a two-day event will be organised on September 24 at TDCP Resort at Dhok Tahlian. TDCP has planned different entertainment programmes to entertain tourists. PTDC is promoting country’s natural resources and tourism treasures to promote tourism in the country.

Two years ago, the corporation initiated tendering process to lease out land at Patriata base, mid and top stations; TDCP Restaurant, Patriata; TDCP stopovers at Murree base and top stations; Charehan Rest House, Murree; Kallar Kahar Resort, Restaurant and parking; public washrooms and kiosk for tourism activities.
