Three projects worth Rs1.5b inaugurated
Three development projects worth Rs1.05 billion were inaugurated in Tehsil Khanpur on Monday.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Irrigation Arshad Ayub Khan, PTI leader Yusuf Ayub Khan and former Federal Minister Umar Ayub Khan Monday inaugurated the projects.
The inaugurated projects were including Khanpur Grid Station worth Rs600 million, Khanpur Rescue 1122 center worth Rs31.1 million and the construction of streets worth Rs20 million in Tehsil Khanpur.
The provision of basic amenities at the people's door step was amongst the top priorities of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, said the PTI leaders.
Provincial minister Arshad Ayub while giving the details of the completed projects in Tehsil Khanpur said development projects worth billions of rupees in the Khanpur area will improve the standard of living of the people. He said that the construction of Khanpur post office road and footpaths was completed with a cost of Rs20 million and drains black topping inside the city roads in Khanpur cost 100 million rupees while Rs160 million have been spent for the building of Tehsil Complex, Rs70 million for the construction of TMA Khanpur and Rs50 million have been spent on the construction of Government Degree College for Girls Khanpur.
Arshad Ayub Khan said that due to the completion of these projects the issues of the masses of Tehsil Khanpur would be resolved at their doorstep and they would be facilitated.
Meanwhile in Abbottabad, Deputy Commissioner Tariq Salam Marwat Monday chaired a meeting regarding the solution of traffic and encroachment problems of Tehsil Havelian.
Chairing the meeting, he directed Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Havelian to ensure the implementation of traffic laws with the support of the Traffic Police. National Highways Authority (NHA) should ensure the implementation of Havelian Ayub Bridge and Langra Bridge restoration, adding he said.
Marwat also instructed TMA Havelian to finalize steps for the park in Havelian city, Forest Department must ensure plantation at Dhamtoor Bypass road while TMA Abbottabad and TMA Havelian should guarantee the implementation of the right of way and building line within their limits.
He said that the provision of facilities for tourists and the construction of washrooms in various areas of Galiyat and Thandyani was the top priority of the district administration. The meeting was attended by Tehsil Mayor Havelian Atif Munsif Khan, AC Abbottabad Saqlain Saleem, Executive Engineer C&W Highways Abdul Samad, Representative FWO Cap. Abid Butt, AAC Havelian Lubna Iqbal, DSP Haveliyan Saima Zafar, Deputy Director NHA, TMO Havelian Sajjad Haider, and Abbottabad Shakeel Hayat.
