A squad of Defence police station, in a raid on a house in the Qayyumabad area, arrested an accused and recovered five stolen motorcycles from him.
Defence police station duty officer said that they had received a tip-off from an informer that a suspect has stashed stolen motorcycles at his home for further sale.
Subsequently, police raided the house early on Sunday morning, arrested Huzaifa, and recovered five stolen motorcycles. The accused, during the investigation, revealed that he had stolen the said motorcycles from different areas of the city and parked them in his house to sell them later.
In another incident, Sindh Industrial and Trading Estate A police arrested 2 suspects in injured condition after an encounter and recovered weapons from their possession. A policeman also suffered injuries during the encounter. According to Karachi Police Spokesman, Site A, police signalled two persons to stop riding a motorbike on suspicion, on which the accused opened fire on the police party and injured a police official named Yousaf.
