Constitutional petition: SHC asked to order army intervention

The court was asked to call the army in for three months under Article 245 of the Constitution.

KARACHI: A constitutional petition seeking limited army intervention to restore the law and order situation in the city will be heard by the Sindh High Court on Tuesday. The petition was filed by the United Human Rights Commission Pakistan secretary general Rana Faz-ul Hasan on Monday. The court was asked to call the army in for three months under Article 245 of the Constitution.

In past judiciary has ''legalized'' the military rule. Now judiciary is being asked to invite military to indulge in civilian affairs. If it happens, it would be worst than the past.
