An application has been filed in Gojar Khan Police Station, Rawalpindi for the registration of a case against Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for hurling threats at the authorities concerned and judiciary on January 29.
The plea has been filed by former councillor ward 3 Malik Muhammad Bashir.
The applicant has adopted the stance that Sanaullah while talking to a private news channel on January 29 had threatened the Punjab chief secretary and other authorities including the judiciary.
Quoting Sana, Bashir in the application said that the minister had said that he would avenge his opponents and hold them accountable that “they would remember a lesson for the rest of their lives”.
The applicant said that he was also terrorised by the threats, adding that Sanaullah continued to give such statements.
He requested the police to register a case against the interior minister.
The police officials said that a decision would be taken after seeking a legal opinion.
