Green Light: Plantation campaign in the works

The district administration has decided to launch a ‘roadside plantation campaign’ in the city. District coordination officer (DCO) Iftikhar Ahmad Sahu said that several district officials had been asked to supervise the plantation and forest officer Muhammad Javad Khan, TMO Azhar Nabi, Principal DPS Shahbuddin and others would be on duty during the 15-day campaign. The DCO said that the campaign was a joint venture of the Forest Department and tehsil municipal administration (TMA). The DCO directed the officials concerned to take effective measures to protect the saplings during the drive.
