BHC to hear plea for speeding up flood relief

Bench directed PDMA director general to appear before the court and explain ongoing relief, rescue operations.

QUETTA:

The Balochistan High Court (BHC) admitted a constitutional petition regarding floods situation for regular hearing on Monday.

Senior lawyer Rahib Khan Buledi filed the petition, seeking a court directive to the departments concerned to expedite the pace of relief and rescue operations in Balochistan.

A two-member bench, comprising Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Sardar Ahmed Haleemi, heard the petition.

The bench directed the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) director general to appear before the court and explain about the ongoing relief and rescue operations.
