Controlling dengue: Spray one Lahore town everyday, says CM
Spraying will be done from 4:30 am to 7:00 am and from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

One of the city’s nine towns will be sprayed everyday starting Sunday under a new strategy to control dengue infection, Dr Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry, the Health Department director general announced on Monday.
Dr Chaudhry said that after directions from the chief minister, the fogging had been started from Shalamar Town on August 22.
Data Ganj Bakhsh Town will follow on August 23 (today), Gulberg on August 24, Samanabad Town on August 26, Aziz Bhatti Town, Nishtar Town and Cantonment on August 27, Allama Iqbal Town on August 28 and Wagha Town on August 29.
The DG said that Ravi Town had already been fogged on August 21. He said that city government’s Solid Waste Management staff had been directed to remove garbage heaps from the city, and the Water and Sanitation Authority to fix leaking water supply pipes.
He said that the towns will be sprayed between 4:30 am and 7:00 am and from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. He said that the spray squads had been provided with foggers, spray machines and pesticides in sufficient quantity. The Health Department, he said, had appointed its directors as monitors to supervise the dengue eradication efforts.
Ravi Town will be monitored by Dr Akhtar Rashid Malik, Data Ganj Bakhsh Town by Dr Arshad Iqbal Dar and Dr Azhar Masood Bhatti, Samanabad Town by Dr Arshad Usmani, Allama Iqbal Town by Dr Mubashar Ahmad Malik, Nishtar Town by Dr Tanveer Ahmad, Gulberg Town by Dr Muhammad Zulfiqar and Dr Mehmood Ahmad, Aziz Bhatti Town by Dr Muhammad Naeem, Shalamar Town by Dr Muhammad Altaf, Wagha Town by Dr Anwar Janjua and Dr Muhammad Razaaq and Cantonment by Dr Sabiha Khurshid.
