Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's forest department has promoted over 100 forest guards working across Hazara and Kaghan Forest Divisions to the post of foresters.

In this regard, a ceremony was held at the Range Office Balakot in which Chief Conservator Hazara Tahmasip Khan was invited as a special guest while DFO Rizwan Shah, range officers, CDO Muhammad Hanif, and retired officers also participated.

Speaking at the event, Chief Conservator Hazara Tahmasip Khan said that 10 forest guards in Kaghan Forest Division while 100 working in Hazara Division will be promoted to the post of forester.

He said that the government intends to promote forest officers every five years to generate new vacancies in the department.

This way the department will be able to ensure more work and protection of the forests, he said, adding that the provincial government is taking special measures to protect the forests.
